BREAKTHRU AT THE 50TH: MUSICAL DRAMA AND MUSICAL CONCERT FOR CHARITY TO SUPPORT EDUCATION FOR ANAK DALAM TRIBE IN JAMBI
Commemorating the 50th Anniversary, Rotary Club of Jakarta conducts a series of charity activities for Indonesia’s education.
(Jakarta, December 6, 2020) Rotary Club of Jakarta D4310 makes an innovative breakthrough at its 50th anniversary on December 7. The club will conduct a musical drama and charity musical concert to raise money for education facilities for Anak Dalam Tribe in Jambi, in collaboration with Indo Relawan and SEAD via online.
The musical drama titled “Mentari dari Rimba, Merengkuh Mimpi si Buta Aksara” (The Sun from the Jungle, Reaching Dream of The Illiterate) describes the children from Anak Dalam Tribe who have a big courage to learn reading and writing despite all the challenges. “I am so proud of these events. We want to also contribute to improving literacy rate of Indonesian people,” said Tuhu Nugraha Dewanto, President of Rotary Club of Jakarta.
The drama will be continued with a charity musical concert featuring among others : : Indra Bekti, Rory Asyari, Ve AFI, Micky AFI, Leo AFI, Anjar AFI, Nobo Idol, Olivia Idol. Both events will be held on December 20, 2020 at 18:30 – 21:00 Jakarta Time (GMT+7) live streaming through loket.com by buying a ticket cost IDR 100,000 – 150,000.
Tuhu adds, “By conducting the two events, Rotary Club of Jakarta attempts to be a barometer for a long established charity and social organization, but still be innovative, creative, and relevant with the current situation.” Both events target the millennials who are known as a group with a lot of creative and solutive ideas for many problems in Indonesia.
Beside online events, Rotary of Jakarta also launches a special stamp 50th anniversary edition. “We realize that Rotary Club is a long established club internationally. This stamp targets the more senior generation who miss collecting stamps, “ Tuhu continues.
Currently, Rotary Club of Jakarta has various members working together for the betterment of Indonesia and believing inclusivity in all the activities. The club members vary in terms of age, from 24 to 87 years old, and professions, such as entrepreneurs, private and government employees, housemothers, and freelancers.
